Our mission was to create a series of films to illuminate some of the greatest spy stories of the twentieth century for display at the International Spy Museum in Washington. This 8-part series of bite-sized videos based on a series of history podcasts shines a light on the shadowy world of international espionage.

Using engaging motion graphics and sophisticated animation, these films are aimed at an adult audience. The stories are told through meticulously researched primary sources, archives, photographs and documents. Each film tackles a complex topic such as how the infamous Cambridge Spy Ring was uncovered; the story of the Double Cross Committee; and who cracked the uncrackable Japanese naval codes during World War II in short, easy to digest, and visually stunning form. If you’re interested in the secret history of history, Spy Shorts lifts the lid on the truths you were never meant to know.
