Created in partnership with the National Parks Foundation, this educational video series introduces students to the National Historic Landmarks Junior Rangers program through engaging animated content that makes historic preservation accessible and exciting for young learners.

Working closely with the NPF team, we developed a quirky, mixed-media approach that combines playful doodle-style animation with archival imagery. Each film targets different grade levels exploring how historians, preservationists, and historiographers work to identify, protect, and interpret America's most significant historic places.

Our animation style balances educational rigor with visual humor, using hand-drawn elements to keep students engaged. The doodle aesthetic makes academic subjects feel approachable, while archival materials ground the content in authentic historical context.

From understanding what makes a place historically significant to exploring women's history, these videos reveal the detective work behind historic preservation. Each film examines different roles showing how preservationists restore buildings, and historians uncover hidden stories. The series emphasizes that history isn't just about memorizing dates and names, but about understanding how places tell stories.
