Bill of Rights Institute: Homework Help
A fresh style for an already popular series
Ten new-look films for the Bill of Rights Institute's popular Homework Help series
“These films are exactly what we were hoping for. Everyone is thrilled.”
Makematic partnered with the Bill of Rights Institute to refresh their popular Homework Help video series, making them slicker and more engaging for a school audience.
Aimed at US grades 10-12, the videos are designed to support students with their homework and studies, so making sure all the curriculum points were covered was top priority.
Working closely with the BRI academic team, our script writers and producers worked hard to create easy to follow, entertaining and engaging scripts, without losing sight of the need to ensure accuracy.
We cast the films with approachable young talent, a kind of big brother or big sister at college who would front the videos in an informal ‘YouTuber’ style setting, acting as presenters.
Intercutting the videos with clear, impactful animations to explain complex concepts, we used mixed-media and archive to illustrate stories and drive the narrative. The series covered major Constitutional amendments, defining Supreme Court cases and explored fundamental terms such as Natural Rights.
The visuals of the series were also enhanced by the integration of new brand guidelines, firmly interweaving the BRI brand through the content.
