Oxford University Press ELT Series
English language learning brought to life
Sixty-five short live action films for a new ELT product from Oxford University Press
Makematic was commissioned to create 65 one to three minute films for Oxford University Press' new ELT product
The goal was to produce two distinct sets of films to engage students in an upcoming module and to prompt learning.
- The first set consisted of introductory films for the series that combined compelling stock footage with hand drawn animation overlays.
- The second set consisted of scripted dramas filmed across Europe and America with a diverse and talented cast of children, adults.
In producing this series, we teamed up with artists, scientists, educators and musicians to delve into their creative processes and sources of inspiration. We gained insights into how people who are deaf communicate, street artists design optical illusions and discovered the experiences of musician in a band.
We constructed sets in studio to realise the ambitious vision for this landmark project and employed creative animation techniques throughout as we brought these compelling films to life
This series was delivered on brief, on budget and on schedule and made our customer very happy:
"It's been great working with the Makematic team.”
“They are really wonderful, beautiful in fact!"
"They are stunning!!"
