We are delighted to have had the chance to work with Minecraft and Microsoft on this year’s Minecraft Hour of Code tutorials.
Makematic were commissioned to create 4 awesome animations to accompany a series of coding activities that build on young people’s love of Minecraft.
This is the fourth year of Minecraft and Microsoft partnership with Code.org, and to date they’ve racked up 96 MILLION Hour of Code Sessions in 180 countries.
Hour of Code is a movement to teach people the basics of coding, demystifying computer science and making the subject more accessible with one-hour coding tutorials and events.
The new Minecraft Hour of Code tutorial (Voyage Aquatic) takes the participant on an aquatic adventure, finding treasure and solving puzzles with coding – guided by YouTube creators – AmyLee33, Netty Plays, iBallisticSquid and Tomohawk.
